This course is regarding stress and anxiety management. Currently, it has been seen that due to modernization and technological advancement the stress level of individuals has increased to a great extent which ultimately leads to a lot of physical problems such as hypertension, diabetes, strokes, etc., and psychological problems such as adjustment disorder, acute stress disorder, depression, and anxiety.

Understanding and learning about stress and anxiety by individuals associated with Mental Health Professions is imperative in the current period given the number of cases and variability of stressors increasing amongst the population. As stress and anxiety lead to various comorbidities and trigger other disorders therefore it becomes important to earn about its management. 

The lectures have been established keeping in mind the above-mentioned demands. It caters to the learning needs of Bachelor students, Master students and Research Scholars. Therefore, the course starts with basics alongside various examples from the different clinical experiences of the presenter and a case vignette to give hands-on practice to the learners.

The lectures explain stress and different types of anxiety disorders, causes and factors, and different models explaining these disorders. Other things include the role of both psychological and physiological aspects and their interaction, and different theoretical perspectives. Under the management part, how to do different case formulations for the client for stress and anxiety disorders, the different assessments to be used, psych education, and evidence-based treatment methods for stress and anxiety.

The lectures would help aspiring learners to develop critical thinking, know about do’s and don’ts in management, and have applied knowledge regarding these disorders.
